Looking for a bespoke replacement boat window, screen or windshield?
We can help.
To ensure a perfect fit, where possible we like to have the original piece to work from,
We recognise this may not always be possible. In cases where using the original would leave the boat unsecured, we work from a template, leaving room for the final piece to be polished, drilled or bevelled to fit.

We are often asked if plastic/acrylic is better than glass for boat windows, screens and more.
Like with all purchasing decisions there is a range of factors to consider.

How much do boat windshields, screens, hatch covers, and washboards cost?

Boat hatch covers and liners; what are they?
A boat hatch cover is essential in protecting the acrylic lens of deck hatches.
A boat hatch liner helps keeps the hatch watertight. Therefore boat hatch liners reduce the risk of flooding and damp.
How much do boat windows cost?
Great question. Of course, we are asked how much do boat windows cost all the time! However, there is no simple answer. This all depends on a number of factors. For example, this includes:
- The material used – Perspex®, standard acrylic, or polycarbonate
- How many boat windows you need
- The size of each window
- Labour costs can vary from supplier to supplier
Typically, Perspex® is a premium type of acrylic so will cost more than a standard variety. If you need five boat windows, that will obviously cost more than three.
Furthermore, if you order your boat windows from a reputable supplier, they will carry a premium that is always worth paying.
What are the different types of boat window materials?
There are four different types of boat window materials. Each has its own benefits, advantages, and drawbacks.
To confirm, the different types of boat window materials are:
- Polycarbonate
- Perspex®
- Acrylic
- Coated vinyl
Here is a quick benefit to each:
- Polycarbonate is considered practically unbreakable
- Perspex® is a branded, premium acrylic and is, therefore, a quality choice
- Acrylic is clear and offers super visibility
- Coated vinyl is cheap and is a bit better when it comes to scratching (but that’s it).
