What process is best for your product?

Our experts are available to offer all the advice you need regarding how to make your ideas a reality.

This may include the following techniques and processes:

Vacuum forming

Vacuum forming is often used to make retail fittings, trays, and packaging. It involves plastic sheeting being heated and stretched over a mould to create the required shape. A vacuum is used to force the plastic against the mould.

Drape moulding

Drape forming or drape moulding is a specialised technique typically used to shape plastic components. It is particularly effective at creating gentle curves and is often used to create products such as formed boat windows and shower screens.

Line bending

When this technique is used, the area to be bent is placed over a hot wire strip. This heats the area to be bent but leaves the rest of the plastic sheet cool and rigid. This process is often used to create products such as:

  • Screens
  • Machine guards
  • Boat windows
